GUIDELINES FOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO POLITICAL
ORGANIZATIONS
The Federalist National Party is registered with the IRS as a non-profit 527 Political
Organization. We have filed our 8827 form, which is available for view on the IRS web site.
Contributions to any political organization or campaign are not normally able to be claimed
for tax exemption. If you make a contribution and want to see if it may qualify, contact you
accountant or again refer to the IRS site for that information.
FEDERALIST PARTY GUIDELINES FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
As with any political party, we greatly appreciate and depend on donations, pledges and
contributions to help run our organization. Supporting the party helps more Federalist in
your community, State and on a National level. There are expenses for staff, web-site,
advertisements, support of candidates and more. These costs can add up, so it is important
to rely on the public for funding in these matters.
Currently, the Federalist National Party does not rely on income from business, rents or
any other source that a political organization is permitted.
While we do appreciate everyone's help, we must adhere to not only IRS regulations, but
our own.
Donations must be from a lawful source of income. This includes funds you have obtained
through salary from regular employment, inheritance, stock dividend/sale, lottery
winnings, et cetera.
All contributions must be funded from cash sources within the United States, its territories
or citizens abroad.
We cannot accept donations in the forms of stock, bond certificates, liens, I.O.U's or any
other such funding that is not in the form of a personal/business/cashiers check, credit
cards or cash.
We do not accept cash donations through the mail. This can be made in person at
Federalist National Party events, fund raisers, at you local or state Committee's office or at
our Headquarters.
We do not accept checks from outside the US unless funded by a US bank. Checks are
subject to be verified first. In the protection of consumers and the Party, all checks that are
deemed illegal or fraudulent, will be reported to local authorities. We do not participate in
money moving scams, paying for funds to be received or other so called "Nigerian Money
Scams". If you are one of these individuals and are attempting to contact us, please save
the trouble and do not.
Donations made via credit card will be available on our site and will also be able to be done
through the mail.
We will welcome donors who wish to be anonymous. While we do publish records of the
name and donors, if you wish to not have your name included on this list, please let us
know. We never provide or sell any donors personal information. Only the name and state
are available for public view. Your personal information may be given to government
entities that request it, if so required to be provided by law.
We do not sell positions on our Committees.
We do not place demands or requirements any amount of a donation. There is a cap set by
the government on the most a person or business can donate to a political organization.
We do accept donations from corporations, small businesses and other institutions as
permitted by law.
